We had to wake up early today. We have to change our room to a dorm but only with 3 beds. Not too bad. After breakfast , we had a tour to Larnach Castle, somewhere at the Otago Peninsula high hill. Picked up by the driver at 10 am, there were only the two of us on that tour, it was good enough. Really cold and windy up there.

Larnach Castle is New Zealand’s only castle, built 1871 by William Larnach, a merchant baron and politician, for his beloved first wife Eliza. Larnach spared no expense on his dream home, which features the finest materials from around the world. The Castle is still privately owned and cared for by the Barker family. Larnach had actually commited suicide because of financial and family scandals. And it was also said that the place was haunted by the Larnach family members who died one after another. It was a nice place though, with beautiful old interior decoration. They must have lived very wealthily by that time but, personally for me, our life now is much more ‘mewah’ from them now.

The driver drop us off at YHA during the lunch time. Had lunch before we went off to the city back to have a visit of the Cadbury Chocolate Factory at 2 pm. Waaah…cokelat!
How I really loved the place. Once you entered the factory, the  smells of the chocolate was all around. Waah…really really make me melt, menikam kalbu betul….

We were given free chocolates while doing the tour. I did buy some more chocolates there, a bit cheaper I guessed. Love this new one called Pinky. It is a 90% fat free chocolate with caramel and marshmallow in it. Nice one. I’m not sure whether it is sell in Australia or not. Really madly deeply in love with it. Slurrpp….
After the tour, we walked our way to the University of Otago. A bit of a long walk. Took some pics and headed back to our hostels. Do lots of walking that day. Thanks to our small map book. It was really helpful though. Felt really tired that night. But it was all worth it.
