Still can’t believe ourselves that we’re in Christchurch. We were so excited to start our travelling but, there were some stuff hadn’t been settled yet. So this was the day to do those entire things. After breakfast, Yana took us to the city. It was really cold while waiting for the bus. Seriously cold (Not like Brissy, which can be considered warm and nice). The wind was so hard on us. Imagined it keep on slapping us on the face, it felt like it was raining but it was not the rain drop….it was just the wind. Finally the bus came and we took a stop at the Bus Exchange at the city.

Took another bus to Moorecity Avenue, it was a free bus. Had to walk a bit when we reached there. We’re actually looking for the YHA building. We need to pay our membership so that we can get cheaper accommodation and transportations fares. After settled the YHA thing, went back to the city. We headed to the Visitor Information Centre, to pay our intercity buses tickets. Settled! Then we wandered around Cathedral Square. Took some pictures and had a walk around the city. Get a few snaps in front of the Bridge of Remembrance and the art centre. Walked along the tramways. The shops there was having great sale, but we’re not in a mood of shopping yet. Got a long way to go, lots of places to visit and yet not much money to be spent though….so have to forget about shopping for a while. Then, went back for lunch. Met Yani, she cooked lunch that day.

In the evening, the girls were invited to have dinner at Uncle Ishak’s house at Cashmere. We went for it too. Cashmere is a place on top of a hill with lots of many beautiful and big houses. Mostly the riches stay there.  Met a lot of Malaysian students at the occasion, includes Petronas, MARA, JPA and also FAMA students. Mostly studying at Canterbury Uni and Otago Uni. Well, they were really warm and friendly. We were so delighted to meet them, and also a bit shocked. They were lots of them. And the dinner was superb, Nasi Daging and Mee Kari. Caramel Pudding for desert. ‘Mantap’ we can say that! Had a real good time there. Went back and rearranged our backpack. Got an early bus to catch the next day. Slept early after that night.
