Finally….the day had come. Wake up in the morning to get ready, called the airport shuttle to pick us up to the airport at 1 pm. It’s been two weeks we leaved Brisbane…And seriously I just can’t wait to go back. Missed all the friends there, and also my bed, my pc, and I really missed the warm weather….The flight departed at 3:10 pm. And arrived quite early than what we expected. Arrived safely at 4:10pm Brisbane time eventhough it was said that we’ll be arriving at 5 minutes before 5. Anyway, nice feeling to be home! Jejak je kaki kat airport, dah rasa panas. Waa….dah sampai Brisbane! Leen and Salwa picked us at the airport and off we go back to Cromwell College!  I missed my room! ~ I missed my friends!~

Our last tour of Christchurch. We were late! The bus to the city was late 15 minutes. We were supposed to be at the city 15 minutes before 9 am. But we only managed to be there at 9:05 am. Next thing I knew, we were running like crazy to the place where we should wait for the tour bus. But before that, we have to withdraw some money first to pay the tour. Then, we ran to this bus, where the driver was like saying something to us while were running. That must be the bus, we thought. So, got on the bus feeling really like nak tercabut jantung berlari nyer pasal nih, just to found out that actually we already missed the tour van. But the driver was really kind and called the tour bus driver and yeah, they will come and pick us back. Fiuhh….penat berlari ku terbayar gaks. Penat…memang penat….Adegan kejar mengejar yg hebat…Mynn kejar bas, aku kejar mynn….Rupa-rupanyer terlepas….

Not a few minutes later, the tour van driver came to us. We apologised for our lateness. Thank God that he was cool bout it. So we hopped in the van and met an old couple also from Australia joining us for the tour Christchurch. I’m speechless in the van letting Mynn do all the conversation with the people in there. Seriously I wasn’t feeling that well, rasa nak termuntah pun ader dgn baju yg tebal nak mampu* ni…..it’s all because of lari-lari tu ….

So the driver brought us around the city, the beautiful Monavale Garden, round around the University of Canterbury and then to suburb called Sumner. We stopped at the Sumner Beach for half an hour for a coffee break. Took some pics there where they have this cool cave rock where you can go to the top and see a very pretty scenery up there. Nice weather that day, it wasn’t as cold as we felt the first time we were there in Christchurch. Then we headed to the Diamond Harbour and stopped for a while at Port of Lyttleton for some nice view from the look-out. We did passed by Mt Pleasant and Heathcote. Fuhh…..We did covered lots of places around Christchurch that day.

The tour ended at lunch time. Did some shoppings then went back. Huh….penat…
At night, went out for dinner at Subway with Yana and Muni. Sanggup diorg ni gi teman kitorg makan sama walaupun esok nyer ader assignments and project kena to be submit. Anyway, had a real good nite out. We went to Pak-n-Save, New Zealand’s largest and cheapest supermarket. Bought some stuffs to make Caramel Pudding.

I fall asleep in front of the TV while waiting for the pudding to be ready. One word to describe the pudding, MANTAP! Waa…cant wait to go home!

It was a very long day. We had taken a ferry to Picton at 9:30am. The journey was 3 hours. As usuall, felt dizzy on it and didn’t really take a good look around while in the ferry. Arrived at Picton at 12:30 pm. After that, took a train to Christchurch. The train departed at 1:15 pm. Another 5 hours on the train. Done nothing on the train except looking at the window enjoying the scenery outside. Read book but found out that it make me felt more pening , so slept for a while. Arrived at the Addington Station at 7 pm. We took a shuttle and almost got lost while finding way back to the University Hall. We got no address and forgot the direction to their place. But we finally managed to get there after a few call asking for direction from the girls. A long day on ferry and train was so exhausting. Yet we were very happy…We’re finally in Christchurch! And up to today, we just can’t help of thinking that we wanna go back to Brisbane! I missed Brisbane so much. Biarlah tak sesejuk mana pun, biarlah walau panas macam Mesia pun, Brisbane is still the best! Go Brissy. There’s no such place as Brissy sweet Brissy…..

Wellington is the capital city of New Zealand. Start our tour around the city at 10:30 after breakfast. Had Maggi for breakfast as we missed dinner the night before. Went on a cable car ride to the Botanical garden. The cable car was one of the oldest Welli’s attraction, the one and only cable car in New Zealand. Went around the botanical garden and then, went back to the city.

Wellington was fabulous man!~ Great place to do shopping. Lotsa shoe shops, kewl high-heeled boots. We walked along the Lambton Quay. Had a few pic snapped in front of the Beehives which is the new parliament building. And also the old parliament building which is now is more known as the Law school at Victoria Uni of Wellington. The building is the second largest wooden building in the world. Had a window shopping at Old Bank Arcade, a place full with designers’ boutiques. Expensives and unaffordable.

Then, we went to the famous national museum in New Zealand, Te Papa Museum. Te Papa means, ‘Our Place’ in Maori. Quite interesting stuffs inside which at first I thought would be a boring one. Had a chance to watch a Maori dance show and also Haka, the Warrior dance. Before going back to our place, make our way to the Wellington market. Tourist place of attraction, but giler expensive stuffs in it.

Well, by the fact that it was our last stop before going back to Christchurch, we had went to New World super market buying food for dinner to celebrate our success. At that time, really felt like eating ‘good’ food. Everything looks so delicious and nice. Bought some snacks too with some fruit drinks. At night, we were so happy that we’re finally leaving Welli for Christchurch the next day. We’re almost at the end of our trip!

As usual, we had a bus ride again to Wellington at 8:30 am. This time it was a very long journey. Sick of it already. It was  seven hours in the bus. Aarghh, tired of it. Arrived at YHA Wellington City around 5 pm. Burned the night doing nothing than sleeping. Seriously sangat penat walaupun hanya duduk dlm bas.

The earliest tour that we had ever been. We have to wait for our coach bus to come and pick us up at our place as early as 7:15 am. Giler sejuk…and smelly too outside there.  It turned out to be the bus driver was late about 15 minutes. We were almost ‘beku’ outside.

So the first place that we visited was the Maori Arts and Crafts Institute located near the Whakarewarewa Forest Park. There was a carving school in it, as well as Maori Village, The Ngamokaiakoko Mud Pool  and also the world famous Pohutu Geyser which was the largest geysers within the valley. And we also see the Kiwi bird; flightless, no tail and nocturnal New Zealand’s national bird.

After that, we were brought to the Paradise Valley Spring, a wildlife sanctuary. The place also produced their own spring water which was said that used to heal sick and wounded Maori warriors.
The next destination was Agrodome Leisure Park. It is actually a farm with exciting sheep show. My first time seeing variety breeds of sheep.

After that, we had a gondola ride at the Skyline Skyride at the top of Mt Ngongotaha. Our last destination was the Polynesian Spa. Had a bath of hot mineral water which was so relaxing and rejuvenating. Seriously, even though the smell was quite bad, but we probably got immune to it after a few days over there.
Before going back to our place, sempat jugak round the small city, doing some shopping.
The night was spent packing for our next  stop the next day.

Got a cab early in the morning to catch our bus to Rotorua. Another four hours on the bus. Arrived at the Rotorua bus station almost at noon. After settled up some stuff at the YHA, we went to the city. Rotorua is well-known as a sulphur city and its unique volcanic activity. It is world famous with the bubbling mud pools and explosive geysers. The town have this very distinct smell of a rotten egg and it is all over the town. You can see at some of the park, there were lots of fascinating geothermal landscape. I was a bit ‘cuak’ at first when I knew that the place had volcano eruption and stuff. Never ever thought that I would go to that such place. The Rotorua region was considered as the spiritual home for the Maori people and said to have been the first place of settlement for them.We thought that Rotorua might be a bit warmer because of its geothermal hot springs but it turned out to be as cold as other places. And it was raining at the evening. We had to run back to our place because it’s almost dark already. Before that, wandered around the city, and yeah…not bad for doing shopping too…As usual, after dinner, planning our next day plan….

Our day trip start with a walk to the city. Auckland was called ‘The City of Sails’. The Maori people call it Tamaki Makau Rau which means ‘The City of 100 Lovers’. Auckland is the largest city in New Zealand. The city is so much alike Melbourne. Our first destination would be the Sky Tower. It is the tallest structure in the southern hemisphere, with heights of 328 metres. We had gone up the Sky Tower in Melbourne too. Next stop, we went to the Victoria Park Market. Got myself a pair of Guess Spiral Hi shoes. I told u rite it is so much like Melbourne. But seriously the weather is not like Melbourne at all. It was not that cold. I’ve experienced Melbourne, and it was way colder and gloomy. I didn’t really wear much thick jacket that day. The next stop was the Ferry Building. It was an old ferry station building located at the bottom of Queen St at the Auckland Harbour. Stop for a break after long way of walking. We had our lunch at a Kebab stall. Then we made our way to the University of Auckland and also passed by the Auckland University of Technology too. It is a cool uni in the middle of the city.

Later the evening went out to find some groceries. Finding out that it was so expensive in the oriental shop. Slept early again, charging back our energy for the next day.

Nothing much to be done in the morning. We have to check out at 10 am even though our flight to Auckland was at 3pm. Went out walking by the lake, took some pictures, bought some souvenirs from the city. Had seafood pizza for lunch. Kenyang bangat!

And finally, took a cab to the Queenstown Airport. The Air New Zealand plane departed at 3:10 pm and arrived in Auckland at 5 pm. It was raining a bit in Auckland. Got a shuttle to bring us to the Auckland City YHA. It was quite far from the airport to the city. When we arrived at the YHA, it was already dark. After check in, we go straight to the kitchen and had our dinner. Really hungry. The rest of the night was fulfilled with planning for the next day.

Leaved Wanaka for Queenstown in the morning. Bus departed at 8:15 am. It was freezing cold in the morning. Of course, we’re going further down. It should be colder. We arrived at Queenstown YHA at 10 am. But we can only check in by 2:30pm.After putting our stuffs in the storage room, we went out to the city. This place is the best and beautiful place I’ve ever seen. Seriously it was sooo pretty. The scenery rite in front of the YHA was so incredibly breath-taking! Queenstown is located at the edge of the Lake Wakatipu, with backdrop of the Mt Remarkables ranges. Cantik giler! I mean, Subhanallah! I just can’t really describe it. Sangat sangat la cantik nyer sampai kalo tgk jer pun tak jemu.

The weather was so nice even though it was freezing cold. We wore triple thick clothes anyway. Walk around the city. Have lunch first before going to the Paradise Found tour at 2 pm. The driver, Kian, picked us up with a van with another 6 visitors. It was a very nice trip. We went to some of the LOTR location, the Mt Aspiring National Park which is the third largest in New Zealand. We had actually walked through in the forest. Then we’re off to a place where they called it the ‘Paradise’. Hrmm…well, it is pretty. Along day again, with a lot of walking…..tired but so happy that we’ve been there.
